Time Flies when you are having fun...

Well my blog friends, I am doing a terrible job of keeping this updated so far! I can't believe it has been 21 days since my last post! Oh my! I promised myself that when I started this blog I would not beat myself up about not updating all the time and just do it as I felt necessary and have the time for. Well, I  have been swamped. Put that on top of this "lack of blogging guilt" I have been feeling, and it's becoming a bad, bad cycle.

I just need to remind myself that this is for fun and while maybe one day it will become something of a profession or lead to something else in my life, right now I am a recruiter! And I work an awful lot. I will no longer feel guilty! (Yea, right, keep telling yourself that.)

My job is supposed to be an 8-5 kind of scenario. In actuality, I usually work late and have lots of early morning meetings and evening / night meetings as well. I also have lunch meetings. So while I may only work in the office from 8-5, I may have a 7 am coffee meeting and a networking event, etc., at night. I also often have to do happy hours with clients and candidates. Because I often recruit people that are in a job, I have to be flexible and really open to meeting at any time of day. In addition to my time intensive job, doing hot yoga 4-5 times a week, spending time with the boyfriend, and all the other normal life stuff, I have been doing the following (maybe this will help explain why I have been so distant)

February 7th, I went to the Opera with some friends. The opera was La Boheme and it was a production of the San Diego Opera. It was wonderful...really amazing! It was very nice to get dressed up and have a nice lunch at a great little French place... Cafe Chloe in downtown San Diego. It's like a little Parisian bistro. The food was great and the ambiance was very French. Loved it.

On February 10th, I had a work happy hour at a new restaurant in Del Mar called Zel's. She had some hummus and I had a few bites...all the food looked really good and I want to go back for dinner.

On February 11th, I had a late night work meeting.

On Friday, February 12th, my sister came to visit from SF for a few days. (more on that later) She was here from Friday through Monday night.

On Saturday, February 13th, my boyfriend and I went to a concert...Gregory Page.

On Thursday, February 18th, I had a work happy hour.

On Friday, February 19th, my bf and I went to see another concert, Steve Poltz.

On Saturday, February 20th, we packed up our dog and car to go house sitting for our friends (Matt and Erica and their dog Marley and cat Ella) in Oceanside. On the way up to their house, we went to some friends house for brunch. That night we were supposed to have dinner at a friends house, but the bf was not feeling well so we skipped it. We stayed in Oceanside through Monday, February 22nd.

On that Monday, I had another evening work meeting.

On that Friday the 26th, my friend Susan came to visit. She just left on Sunday, the 28th. More on that to come.

On Sunday, the 28th, I met my friend Erica for a walk and lunch.

Phew! I am not sure how I keep up! (I will be honest and tell you that this weekend between visiting with Susan and last weekend when we were house sitting... I took...THREE NAPS! I never take naps but honestly, I have been so tired from running around like a bozo. Three naps! Very unlike me.)

Luckily this week is less busy and we are taking Friday off for our annual car show trip to Yuma. Yahoo!

Here is a picture of me at work...all business-like. This is my desk. Aren't those polka dot folders cute?

I am happy I have a good job. I guess I shouldn't complain.

Hugs and smiles, friends...from your way too busy friend.
